CENARIS was once again represented at this year's Powder Symposium in Dresden. The event offered numerous exciting specialist presentations and a wide range of opportunities to exchange ideas with industry experts.

Our team had interesting discussions, gained new insights and took the opportunity to engage in intensive dialogue with colleagues from the powder and coating technology sector. The direct exchange and proximity to the market once again provided a valuable basis for actively shaping current developments.

The safety certificates for our MEGAMIX^® Series 120 and MEGAPOL^® F Series 140 have been renewed.
These powder coatings are therefore suitable for the interior coating of bulk silos and wagons for transporting food and animal feed.

For us, knowledge transfer is an essential key to success. We actively promote the involvement of the next generation at an early stage and a lively exchange among them. We are already implementing this approach in several divisions.

Since March, the sales region Bremen, northern Lower Saxony, Hamburg, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and Schleswig-Holstein, which has been professionally managed by Ingolf Sollmann for years, has been strengthened by Michael Schönwälder. Mr Schönwälder has been with the company since 2013 and previously worked as an internal sales representative. Thus, in addition to his knowledge of the industry, he also benefits from the possibility of close exchange with his colleague Ingolf Sollmann.

Managing Director Michael Hauptstock is sure that the close cooperation between Mr Sollmann and Mr Schönwälder will result in a good transfer of knowledge and that our CENARIS customers will benefit from it.

In lovely Copenhagen, we visited the largest Scandinavian trade fair in the field of coatings and paints and had the opportunity to network and attend interesting lectures.

At this year's Scandinavian Coating, the focus was clearly on sustainability.

This year we are once again guests at the Powder Symposium in Dresden.

In addition to exciting lectures, Germany's largest industry meeting in the sector of coating is every year again a place for networking and exchange.

The world's leading trade fair for industrial painting technology in Karlsruhe finally took place again after a four-year break due to the pandemic.

We were able to welcome many visitors to our booth, have great conversations and take a photo or two with our famous companions.

And we are already looking forward to seeing you again in Karlsruhe from 09 to 12 April 2024 at the next PaintExpo.

We are expanding the scope of our sales activities and, in addition to our national business, we will now also increasingly focus on international business. After a long period of successful management of the German sales department, Christian Henke will head our newly initiated export division. With Mr. Henke, we will benefit from his experience as a sales manager as well as from his many years of affiliation with CENARIS.

The national sales business will be managed by Angelo Sas in the future. Mr. Sas, who has been with the company since 2015, previously held various positions in internal sales and will now manage the national business in close cooperation with Mr. Henke. With this change, we at CENARIS are relying on the strengths and experience of our colleagues and on a forward-looking, in-house succession solution.

With Regulation (EU) 2020/2017, the EU Commission has published that the white pigment titanium dioxide is to be classified as a category 2 carcinogen with the hazard statement "May probably cause cancer by inhalation" (14th ATP to CLP Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008). Consequently, powdery mixtures as well as liquid mixtures containing titanium dioxide have to be labelled. This applies to mixtures containing more than 1% titanium dioxide particles with an aerodynamic diameter < 10 micrometres.

An independent testing institute has carried out tests on powder coatings with regard to the aerodynamic diameter and the titanium dioxide content. The tests carried out in accordance with DIN EN 15051-2 came to the conclusion that the powder coatings tested and their wastes contain significantly less than 1 percentage point by weight of titanium dioxide with an aerodynamic diameter < 10 micrometres.

Our powder coatings therefore do not meet the criteria for classification as carcinogenic provided for in the CLP regulations and therefore do not need to be labelled.

From 14 to 15 September 2021, we were guests at the 31st Powder Symposium in Dresden. At Germany's largest industry get-together, we exchanged views with experts on the latest products, advances and challenges in the powder coatings industry.
 
The annual symposium at the International Congress Center Dresden offers the opportunity to take part in a wide range of specialist presentations and discussions and to exchange ideas on topics such as optimisation potential in the field of powder application, sustainable and resource-saving coating or the improvement of quality requirements.

With Martin Houschka, we were once again able to win a highly motivated, young colleague for our sales force.

As a technician for industrial coating technology, he has distinctive expertise in the sector of powder coatings and extensive knowledge of the industry.

Martin Houschka will take over our CENARIS customers in the area of Bavaria and Baden-Wuerttemberg.

Our technical data sheets are now up to date again and also come in a new design.

In addition to a general update and error correction, the pre-treatment has also been adapted. The DIN standards have been supplemented and brought up to date, and new burn-in diagrams have been implemented.

As with our labels and price lists, the application areas are marked in red for interior use and blue for exterior use.

In addition, our new MEGABOND^® logo appears on our metallic powder coatings.
